Question by powhound: When it comes to installing two optical drives, is there a preferred slave/master choice?
DVD multi and CD-RW/DVD-ROM.

Does it matter if one is slave, the other master? My thinking is that it makes no difference which is which.

Question by markiemark1451: Can I connect two projectors to one laptop with one VGA output?
I have tried using a splitter (ie a cable that plugs into the VGA that has two outs). When I do the second projector will say ‘searching for signal’ but never displays the content. When I disconnect the other projector that is working, the second one will display.
I have tried switching the inputs which is how I found out about one working as long as the other is not plugged in. Both are capable of relaying the signal just not simultaneously. Do I have to change a setting on the laptop itself?

there are several options here but i reckon the usb to vga sounds the most likely choice – it’s the one i would choose

Question by : what graphics cards are compatible with the Dell Dimension e310?
I recently got this computer, and since I didn’t have a desktop, this thing for 50 dollars was a STEAL.
Anyway, I often played Minecraft on my laptop that is now broken. The current Graphics card just wont cut it. What graphics cards are compatible with the Dell Dimension e310? Can they support Minecraft?

Unfortunately the video expansion slot is PCI-Express x1 instead of PCI-Express x16. So your graphics card choices are VERY limited. The $ 114 card linked by the previous poster is a fairly expensive workstation card that you wouldn’t want anyway- it’s for working in AutoCad and similar professional design programs, not games. Here’s a better choice for Minecraft:

Question by : What should I get for a network attached storage for home use?
I need an external storage and it seems like network attached storage is a good option. What I am looking for: 1) ~1-2 TB of storage, 2) capable of accessing the data remotely via iPhone/iPad and of course, laptops/computers at home, 3) $ 100-$ 200 range, 4) reliable, reasonable fast, energy efficient, and small size – all the nice-to-have stuff . I hope this is enough information to get some feedback. There is too much information on the net or out-dated information to decide which one is a better choice. Thanks for your help!

Go to www.cnet.com and type your question in there. If you don’t find any articles, I’d be surprised.

You could also call any Best Buy and talk to a salesperson, even if you don’t plan to buy it there.

Question by critik.santa: how to connect to my desktops internet from my laptop?
I got a laptop its using a wifi card and well my desktop is using a ISp called clearwire its wireless. And i cant connect to my desktops internet cause when i scan on my on my laptop it says clear wire. 89 percent signal but its encrypted so i cant connect how do i uncrypt it.

clear encrypts its network so that you have to pay for your connection and decrypting it would be stealing. they probably have their network setup to find and report people who are attempting to crack it as well.

the only way would be to connect the two computers together by wire or by a second wireless card in the desktop.

you can do this using usb or firewire or ethernet.

when you have them connected phisically any of these connections can be used to make a LAN (local area network) depending on your experience level with this you may need help setting it up.

the easiest way to do this would be ethernet and a router. when you have this setup you can goto properties in the clear adaptor on the desktop and choose the option that says share this connection.
it might give you a choice of what device should be shared with it. (this should be the network that the laptop is connected to)
after that the laptop should be able to find the shared internet of the desktop.

you should be able to ask questions about routers and such at your local electronics store.

since you have clear i assume you are in portland. i think that frys electronics is the best place to buy around here, but the staff may not be as knowledgeable as they seem at any store so ask questions on yahoo about subjects that they bring up.

Price vs quality/features/comfort?

I’m looking at the:
- logtiech g15 v1 and v2 (pros and cons)
- razer lycosa
- Sidewinder x6
- any other keyboards comparable to those i mentioned. please explain why you think the keyboard you mention is the best choice. Any help is appreciated.

I like the g15, it’s comfortable, the screen is extremely useful for gaming, and there are many keys you can use for binds on the side.

Question by tigga: Does a gaming mouse and/or keyboard give you an extra edge in RTS games?
I’m a huge fan of RTS games. While I do play the occasional FPS, my first choice will always be for traditional RTS games.

Will a gaming keyboard and/or mouse give me an significant edge in multiplayer games or is the difference between insignificant?

mouse, get the razor naga, (theres a num pad at the side of the mouse!!!)
get a razor keyboard
low key profile allows for faster clicking
or get a logitech keyboard for cheap macros

Here is my problem:
I have been looking for a gaming mouse to buy. I have been looking and I have come across these mice:
Razor Lychesis, Razor Naga, Razor Imperator.
So my question is, which mice out of the following would be the best for precision and comfort for gaming?.
Also my price range is a maximum of $ 105 to anything below. I live in Australia.
So the reason I gave my price range is simply because I have another question to ask. If there are better mice out there what are the brands of those mice and why are they better?. What is the major differences and the minor differences?, My main concerns are the price range this is for my budget of course, and my main concern is comfort, and accurate precision for say first person shooters and third person shooters. All this information is a necessity for the key features I would like the mouse to have. Thanks in advance.

Also, I was looking for a gaming keyboard and I came across the Razor Lycosa. Is this a good gaming keyboard? are there better gaming keyboards out there for the same price or less, and what are the names for these keyboards? I know this is a bit of a mouthful for a question but I have been looking and just simply cannot decide so I thought I would ask you guys. Thanks in advance, all answers are appreciated.

Hi if you want a mouse and keyboard to play 1st person shooters i suggest you buy and Xbox 360 wired controller for them, comfortable and easier hope this help. also that is a good choice of mouse and keyboard

What are good video cards for my S3100n slimline PC of 160W and costs less than 120USD.
I also have a HP laptop TX1320 with 128 dedicated and 271 shared video memory (totally 399MB). It lags when I play FullHD or 720P video.
That is on laptop. But on PC, a 256 video memory low profile PCI -E with low watt is enough to play those videos without lagging?

According to the graphic card whether it support to play full HD videos or not. Nvidia 8 series graphic cards r the best choice for HD videos.
